Countering The Terran Bio Ball
The Terran infantry (Marauders, Marines, Medics) army is also known as the Bio Blob or Terran Ball and gets even more dangerous when backed up by Siege Tanks. If you see that the enemy is building many Raxes, you absolutely have to build a 200/200 army, too! Many Zerg make the mistake to delay their Starcraft 2 Zerg vs Terran strategy until they have another expansion, another hatchery, another upgrade. They think they can easily outproduce the Terran, but often it’s too late when the Blob is on it’s way.
Positioning is absolutely important. Never attack when the Tanks are positioned on hills or when your army has to go through a tight spot before attacking the well-positioned Terran army. Your Roach/Hydra/Speedling army has to flank the enemy once you get the chance – and then attack from all directions.
In any way you will have to rebuild your army after this attack – it’s crucial not to overextend yourself and send in the reinforcements one by one. Instead gather them until you have a sizeable army again. Make use of your Queens and your superior reproduction ability.
